Habitat at Home Application

“Create a habitat for wildlife” might seem intimidating, but rest assured, anyone can add wildlife habitat in their own back yard. When we say “habitat,” we’re referring to the essential elements that all wildlife species need to survive: food, water, shelter, and a place to raise their young. A healthy habitat is one that has a wide range of plant types, layers, and edges that provide cover from weather and predators, nectar and pollen sources for pollinators, nuts and berries for birds and mammals, and places for animals to raise their young. The more diverse the habitat features, the greater the diversity of wildlife that can live there. For more information, please see the Habitat at Home website.
