Two DGIF employees—a procurement officer and an aquatic biologist—participated in a week-long hunting awareness and conservation course offered by Conservation Leaders for Tomorrow (CLfT) during the week of December 14–18. CLfT is a professional development program designed for student and professional leaders within the natural resource sciences who do not hunt. A blend of interactive classroom discussions and field experience allowed participants to better understand hunting culture and values, as well as explore the role of hunting in conservation.
