Notice:The Penhook boat ramp on Smith Mountain Lake will be closed beginning May 20, 2024, until further notice. Appalachian Power will be affecting maintenance to auxiliary equipment at the Smith Mountain Dam and the Penhook public boat ramp facility is needed for staging of equipment in conjunction with this work. Regrettably, this includes Memorial Day weekend. Please plan to use alternative boat access facilities. Penhook will reopen upon completion of the project.
