Traditionally, Virginia Wildlife sources calendar images from top wildlife photography professionals, but this year, the cover image was chosen from the annual Photography Showcase featured in the July/August edition of the magazine. Learn more about the photographer Clinton Mooney, whose lifelong love of the outdoors and passion for photography led to an incredible moment—his striking photo of a green frog floating in water was selected as the cover for the 2025 Virginia Wildlife calendar.
