Venison Mincemeat Pie

1 recipe double pie crust
5 cupvenison mincemeat
2 tablespoonice-cold water
1 tablespoongranulated sugar

How to Prepare

Preheat oven to 4 25 degrees. Line a 9-inch pie plate with half the pie dough; fill with mincemeat. Cover with remaining crust; seal and crimp edges. To glaze, brush the top with water and sprinkle with sugar. Cut several steam vents, using a sharp paring knife. Bake at 425 degrees for 20 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees and continue baking for about 30 to 35 minutes longer until pastry is golden.
