Regulation Amendments Proposed at the March 20, 2024 Board of Wildlife Resources Meeting
On March 20, 2024, the Virginia Board of Wildlife Resources proposed amendments to the Commonwealth’s regulations governing hunting. Comments on the proposals are solicited during a public comment period that closes July 5, 2024.

2024 Freshwater Fisheries, Recreational Boating, and Nongame & Endangered Species Regulation Cycle
The Department of Wildlife Resources’ biennial process for changing the regulations guiding freshwater fishing, recreational boating, and nongame and endangered species. New regulations will go into effect January 1, 2025.
