Virgil R. Hazlett Reservoir at Cobb’s Creek is a 1,117-acre pump-storage reservoir located in northern Cumberland County. The reservoir is owned and operated by Henrico County as an emergency water supply to supplement flows within the James River during dry periods using water periodically stored from the river.

Following opening, Cobb’s Creek Reservoir will offer warmwater fishing opportunities for largemouth bass, black crappie, channel catfish, redear sunfish, and bluegill. Harvest regulations are to be determined and will be updated prior to the lake’s opening.
