Once two lakes, this now 170 acre lake is the water supply reservoir for the City of Charlottesville. It contains largemouth bass and bluegill and is open from sunrise to sunset. Access and parking are limited and there is no boat ramp. Boats must be carried to the lake, and gasoline motors are prohibited.
Take Route 702 off Route 29 to get to the access area.

Regulations
- Catfish: 5 fish per day limit, 18-inch minimum size limit (all catfish under 18 inches must be released)
- Muskellunge: one fish per day limit, 40-inch minimum size limit (all musky under 40 inches must be released)
- Statewide creel and size limits for all species apply.
- Gasoline motors are prohibited; no boat landing, carry-in watercraft only
