This 10-acre impoundment is located in the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests in western Rockingham County. It is stocked with harvestable sized brook trout and fingerling channel catfish, and it also contains a good largemouth bass and sunfish population. Catfish fishing opportunities were further improved in 1997 with the stocking of catchable size (average 1.2 pounds) channel catfish. A creel limit of 5 fish per day with a minimum length limit of 18 inches was placed on channel catfish to promote better catfish angling. Statewide regulations apply to all other species.
Access to the lake is restricted, requiring a 0.8-mile hike from the gate on Forest Development Road (FDR) 230, off Route 817. A trout license is required to fish these waters from October 1 through June 15.
