Important Notices for this Waterbody

Notice
Channel Catfish Stocking Discontinued Until Further Notice

Channel catfish stockings have been discontinued until further notice. Existing channel catfish populations remain in the waterbody, but anglers should expect lower catch rates over time due to the absence of continued stocking efforts.

This two-acre lake is located in a park next to the campus of Shenandoah University in the city of Winchester. The lake is spring-fed and is, therefore, stocked with catchable trout. The lake also contains largemouth bass, sunfish, crappie, and catfish.
