Clutch Is Complete

If the female were to have laid a 5^th egg, we would have expected it to have happened by yesterday afternoon (March 30^th). As we are well beyond that point, we can declare this year’s clutch of eggs complete at 4. This is the 4^th year that 95/AK has nested in Richmond, and her 4^th 4 egg clutch. With egg laying complete, we can begin looking forward to the hatching of the chicks, which we estimate will begin sometime between April 26^th and 28^th. Until that time, expect to see both male and female on camera nearly continuously as they incubate the eggs.
