Look Out For Eggs
The falcons have nested atop the Riverfront Plaza once again. The first egg of 2023 was laid overnight between Sunday (3/19) and Monday (3/20)… just in time to mark the first day of spring!
This laying event occurred roughly two days earlier than last year’s first egg and more than a week earlier than the first egg of 2021. Falcon eggs are typically laid in intervals of 48 to 72 hours, which means we could expect (or EGG-pect) another laying event at any point within the next 24 hours or so. We will keep the camera zoomed in on the nest box and if you’re lucky, you may just catch the next egg being laid!
