- Stock F1 strain bass, which is a first-generation cross between northern and pure-strain Florida largemouth bass. The F1 bass (sometimes-called tiger bass) are available from most commercial hatcheries.
- Supplemental stocking of forage is optional but can increase growth rates of largemouth bass. Fathead minnows can be supplemented for golden shiners but a larger stocking rate (3,000/acre) may be needed for the smaller sized fish
Notes: Trophy bass management works best with a supplemental feeding program for the bluegill and annual harvest of smaller bass (less than 13 inches) two years post bass stocking.
