CornerStone Farm

Description

CornerStone Farm is a working farm, as well as a beautiful bed and breakfast. The property provides 92-acres of diverse habitat for a variety of wildlife experiences. Ward and Barbara are as knowledgeable about the birds and their natural surroundings as they are about their farm animals. As this is a working farm, please respect signs and avoid marked areas, but make sure you take the opportunity to see the goats and other animals during your stay.

Your wildlife viewing can start as you approach the house on the main driveway. Watch and listen for eastern bluebirds, song sparrows, American kestrels, or a northern harrier can be a treat. B&B guests and daily visitors are welcome to hike the trails. A pond provides opportunities to see great blue, green heron, Canada geese, and on occasion hooded merganser and osprey. The habitat here also hosts every species of Virginia woodpecker and owl in a relatively small area. The forest and fields are alive with the seasonal migration of songbirds.
